CranioSacral Therapy at Body Symmetry

Richard, our reflexologist from Gentle Therapy, has recently completed Level I training in CranioSacral Therapy with The Upledger Institute UK.  The course is designed by osteopathic physician John E Upledger, who developed CranioSacral Therapy and has taught the technique internationally.

This training enables him to provide the "10-Step Protocol", a treatment programme that provides benefits to the client while enabling the therapist to refine their skills in preparation for the Level II training.  Richard would be delighted to hear from you if you are interested in receiving the 10-Step Protocol treatment.

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy is used to detect and correct imbalances in the craniosacral system, which may be the cause of sensory, motor or neurological dysfunction.  The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.  It expends from the bones of the skull, face and mouth - which make up the cranium - down to the sacrum, or tailbone area.

The therapy has been successfully used to treat headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems, chronic fatigue, motor coordination difficulties, eye problems, and central nervous system disorders.
